Last year, I did a Toddler December 1st box, to mark the countdown until Christmas. This year our very own Elf appeared for the first time. Soon following she brought some of the goodies that usually go in the December 1st box.

Elf on the Shelf Christmas Basket Fillers
What do you put in an Elf on the Shelf Christmas Basket? Small activities, sweets, and Christmas Jammies. These Christmas pajamas came from Target. The pajamas came two to a set, which is perfect because a pair can be worn up until Christmas Eve, and they can open the second pair (the Santa ones) to wear to bed.
It’s kinda the best of both worlds. I do love the idea of a Christmas Eve box, but I think it’s nice that the items can be used up until Christmas. The Girls each got matching pairs of pajamas. This will be Lainey’s first Christmas. Here are some more ideas for a baby’s first Christmas.
It’s also nice to pick a special Christmas Book to write a note in. This year was Peppa’s Christmas. If you’re looking for more children’s Christmas books check out these 25 Christmas Books.
Stickers and Trinkets
Every year to get creative with my Christmas budget. I go after Christmas to pick-up things on major clearance. That’s when I get Christmas hair bows, headbands, or stickers for next year.
Just put them in a special bin so you don’t give any secrets away when pulling out decorations.
