It’s the middle of winter here in the midwest. I have been daydreaming about life by the water once the weather starts to break. Here in Michigan, our beaches are just called lakes. It sounds much more romantic to go on a seaside holiday, then to “take a trip to the lake.” The inspiration for these Amazon finds was,” Sun by the Seaside.” Color drenched in foamy greens, cool blues and warm textures, like jute and knits.
Below is a photo of a travel destination in Michigan, it’s Port Austin, Michigan. A very small town in the tip of the thumb that has gorgeous beach views and an outstanding pier that overlooks the lake and the marina. This photo was mid-May, so the boats were just starting to get put back into the water.
