A “Valentini” is a cosmopolitan inspired martini. It mixes vodka, Cointreau (bitter and sweet orange liqueur from France), lime sweetened syrup and a touch of cran-pomogrante juice to make it a pretty pink color. The perfect drink for Valentine’s Day, a Galentine’s party, or just to something new to make for a February inspired bucket list.
Adorable little heart shape strawberries are a festive addition. After you make the martini, drop them in, garnish them on a cocktail pick, or adorn them on the martini glass.
We’re getting hit with a huge snowstorm here in the midwest. So, I thought it was the perfect time to play around with a new cocktail recipe. Winter can feel so never-ending so it’s fun to create something new! Even my husband loves it, pink color and all!

Heart Garnishes for a Valentini Cosmopolitan Inspired Cocktail
Little heart strawberries are a super fun way to make the drink feel extra special. Using a freshly sharpened paring knife will do the trick.
I like the precision a paring knife can give you while not being super heavy and bulky. The smaller blade makes it much easier to cut and slice fruits.
A butter knife or dull blade might require too much pressure to cut and crush the strawberry. Keep your blade sharp!
